Eye Dr. Joshua Cohen, Comprehensive Ophthalmic Surgeon
Joshua grew up in Boca Raton, attending Pine Crest School and working for CLVC over the summers to learn about the practice of eye care with his father, G. Richard Cohen, MD. After attending Harvard College to study environmental science and public policy, he spent two years teaching high school at his alma mater before enrolling at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he proudly served as president of his class for all four years and graduating with honors in research.
His postgraduate medical training brought him to Jacksonville, Florida where he met his wife, Rachel, while he was an intern in medicine. He started his ophthalmology training at University of Florida in Jacksonville as well, before transferring to University of Virginia to finish his residency in ophthalmology. He served an extra year as a chief resident and gained additional exposure to advanced cataract techniques and glaucoma surgery.
With an interest in minimally invasive glaucoma procedures and cosmetics, Joshua is honored to return to CLVC as a comprehensive ophthalmic surgeon. Working alongside his father, he also hopes to continue the tradition of state-of-the-art refractive cataract and corneal surgery that is the focus of CLVC. Living in sunny Delray Beach, Joshua enjoys the arts, outdoors, and playing tennis, hoping to give his father some real competition on the court.
